Can you trust Core Keeper's Steam reviews? Adjusted rating 91.2%
Overrated 400 positive and 400 negative reviews analyzed · data as of 2026-10-12
Summary
Core Keeper holds an official Steam rating of 92.9%. After weighting 400 positive and 400 negative reviews by trust, the adjusted rating is 91.2% (95% range 90.8–91.6%), essentially the same as the official figure. Verdict: "Overrated" (the adjusted rating is 70% or higher, but the positive reviews carry low average trust).
The main driver is that positive reviews include more reviews of copies received for free (46% of positive vs 16% of negative). As a result, positive reviews average 0.60 in trust against 0.75 for negative ones. A smaller gap in very short reviews (36% positive vs 15% negative) also contributes.
Across 56 months of history, no month shows a concentrated wave of negative reviews. There is no sign of coordinated review activity.
The last 180 days show 90.9% (last 30 days: 89.2%), close to the all-time figure.
Japanese-language reviews (1,469) show 90.8%, close to the overall rating. In the last 180 days, Japanese-language reviews show 86.7%.
The adjusted rating estimates trust from how reviews are written; it does not judge any individual review as fake. Data as of 2026-10-12.
